Receptionist

Hi I’m Julie, my role involves me organizing the day to day running in the salons and co-ordinating our fantastic tight knit team, ensuring every clients experience with us runs smoothly. All this as well as doing all the jobs Lesley hates (like opening junk mail and dealing with irritating reps!) but I love my job. Often you will see me hosting the front of house, meeting and greeting clients old and new.

I have an extensive wealth of knowledge in the hairdressing world; I have been in the industry for 28 years and still do a bit of hair now for weddings and backstage events that we do! I am a huge fan of our fabulous eyelash extensions and can’t live without them now! Away from the hustle and bustle of my job, I am happiest out walking my crazy doodle dog with my two wonderful daughters. Bliss!

Sonny

Artistic Director/Training Director

Hi i'm Sonny and i have been part of the colour lounge team for 5 years now. During this time i have been very lucky to have had extremely high levels of training in all aspects of hairdressing, but especially in colour. I achieved the highest accolade passable in colour training , and am proud to have this under my belt , I would definately say colour is my passion!

In the past few years I have also been involved in many shows both locally and nationally(including Hulls very own freedom festival) as part of our Artistic Team, and have styled for such artists as Beverley Knight, The Hoosiers, The Wanted and the Saturdays. I am sometimes known for being a little quiet when i have my 'concentration head' on but otherwise i am a very bubbly person with an unusually vast wealth of general knowledge that could rival Wikipedia!! lol :-) Try me! .

Lucie

Style Director

Hi im Lucie, im the longest standing member of staff at the colour lounge, starting in December 1999 at Lloyd’s hair.

I started my journey as a trainee and worked my way up to salon manager at Lloyd’s hair, after having my two beautiful children , so I’m currently working part time hours.

I absolutely love the buzz of working in the salon; I get great satisfaction from transforming my clients and making people happy. I enjoy every aspect of hairdressing but I particularly love doing highlights as im a total perfectionist and very neat. I love changing people’s look and making them feel different.

Im a very calm but very chatty character who loves her job.

Sasha

Style Director

I'm Sasha im 25 and i've been part of the colour lounge team for 8 years.

Starting as a trainee 8 years ago ive worked my way up to style director, During this time ive achieved many goals which iclude being part of a team which has been involved in many competitions and photo shoots which i love!

I am also fully qualified in Racoon hair extentions.

I am a keen follower of fashion and love keeping up to date with the most recent styles in hair and clothes which in my opinion go hand in hand.

So if your looking to be at the top when it comes to the style stakes and you want advise on whats hot and whats not or if you just want to know what style best suits you then im your girl, and i look forward to seeing you in the salon soon! xx

Creative Stylist

Hello I am Benedict, I am a senior stylist and have been working for the Colour Lounge team for 3 years, I am proud to say that in 2010 I excelled within the TIGI inspirational youth training programme which was the most exciting experience in my career so far, and to top off last year I made it into the final 6 for young hairdresser of the year at clothes show live.

I am known as the ‘outrageous’ member of the team, always playing tricks, I just to love to laugh and my sense of humour is very dry, in my spare time I love nothing more than to chill out and have a few drinks with friends, I’ve always wanted to go to new york so that’s what one of my future plans is, as well as progressing in the hairdressing industry.

My favourite style I like to create is Hollywood glamour, think Sarah Jessica Parker and Eva Longoria.

Hi I’m Alex and I am a hair addict! I have trained and worked at Colour Lounge for the last few years and have sported a few hair changes myself during that time. I absolutely love colouring and the way it can completely change a haircut and how you feel.

I have been working with the creative team and do shows and backstage events which I have met some really famous people at and got to do their hair which is amazing! I am very chatty and love to make clients feel comfortable and welcome so come and see me so I can make you look and feel special!

Mikey

Trainee Stylist

Hi I’m Mikey (aka Rav to my friends) and I am so passionate about hairdressing. I am slightly older than the other trainees as I started my career a year after realising this is my destiny!

Colour Lounge has been an amazing journey so far as I get to work with some incredibly talented people who have helped me so much with my own skills. My favourite thing is colouring and I love the training we do with Sonny as he is such a colour geek!

Outside of work shopping for fashion is my passion and I can’t wait to earn loads of money so I can shop til I drop! I am an incredibly happy, smiley person so come into our salon and let us make you smile!
